In the UK alone, somebody dies from cardiac arrest every five minutes. Most of these people could be saved if an Automatic External Defibrillator or AED and trained operator is available.
This course is aimed at teaching the holders of current first aid certificates the safe use of an AED in conjunction with basic life support when dealing with a casualty with suspected cardiac arrest.
Who should attend? Any person with responsibilities for the first aid requirements in the workplace.
Any person who currently hold a first aid certificate and feel they should extend their skills
Course Outcome On successful completion of the course. Each candidate will know how to carry out Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, how to safely use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). As per the United Kingdom Resuscitation Council Guidelines
Following final assessment, each successful candidate will receive a certificate valid for 1 year.
