This is a specifically designed course dealing with accidents and medical emergencies involving babies and young children. The course covers topics required to meet OFSTED standards

Any person having responsibility for young children, specifically nursery staff and child minders
Course Outcome
Following successful completion of the course and final assessment, each candidate will be qualified in paediatric first aid and will be able to effectively deal with emergency situations involving babies and young children

o Actions in an emergency
o Assessment of injuries/illness
o Unconscious casualty
o Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
o Fracture management
o Control of bleeding
o Causes of unconsciousness
o Choking
