Under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, each employer must asses the workplace with a view to providing adequate first aid cover for the workforce and any visitors. The HSE recommendation is that for every 50 employees there should be at least one “First Aid at Work” qualified person.
This is a 4 day course (24hr student contact) Regulated by the Health and Safety Executive.
Who should attend?
Any individual designated with the responsibility to attend a sudden illness or accident within the workplace. This person should be able to respond to an incident when required.
Course Outcome On successful completion of the course and final assessment, the candidates will be awarded an HSE approved First Aid Certificate valid for three years.
