Overview

This course is in support of the 4 day HSE First Aid at work course. All persons who hold a current HSE First Aid at work Certificate are required to renew their qualification prior to one month after the expiration of their current certificate, by attending an HSE approved 2 day refresher course. Failure to do so will result in the need to attend a full 4 day FAW course

This is a 2 day course (12hr student contact) Regulated by the Health and Safety Executive.

Who should attend?
Any individual who currently holds a First Aid at Work certificate that is due for renewal.  This preferably should be 2 months before the current certificate expires but no later than one month after expiration

Course Outcome
On successful completion of the course and final assessment, the candidates will be awarded an HSE approved First Aid Certificate valid for a further three years.

Course Content

Refresh and update skills in: -

o Priorities of treatment
o Actions in an emergency
o Assessment of injuries/illness
o Unconscious casualty
o Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
o Fracture management
o Control of bleeding
o Causes of unconsciousness
o Choking

2 days (12hrs student contact)

Cost

£100 plus VAT per candidate
£1000 plus VAT for 12 candidates
