First Aid at Work Requalification

Overview:

This course updates the first aid skills of those needing to renew their statutory First Aid at Work course. Current First Aid at Work Certificate holders are required to renew their qualification within 28 days of its expiration. Failure to do so will result in the need to attend a full 4 day First Aid at Work course.
 

Who should attend?

Any individual who currently holds a First Aid at Work certificate that is due for renewal. This preferably should be within 2 months prior to the current certificate expiration.
 

Course Outcome:

On successful completion of the course and final practical skills assessment, the candidate will be awarded an HSE-approved First Aid Certificate of competence valid for a further three years.

  • Priorities of treatment
  • Actions in an emergency
  • Assessment of injuries/illness
  • Unconscious casualty
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Fracture management
  • Control of bleeding
  • Causes of unconsciousness
  • Choking

    Duration: 2 days (12hrs student contact)
