Paramedic Assist

Overview:

This is a two day course designed to give the delegate an understanding of the role of the Paramedic and equip them with the competencies to assist the Paramedic in an emergency situation.
 

Who should attend?

This course is designed for everyone that regularly assists a Paramedic in an emergency situation whether in the events industry or in high risk areas such as the chemical industry.
 

Course Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive a certificate of attendance.
 

Course Content:

Ability to assist the Paramedic in airway management procedures Understanding of the Intubation process and assist in the equipment preparation for this technique Ability to assist the Paramedic in the cannulation and fluid administration procedures Assist the Paramedic with both 12 lead and 3 lead ECG taking Overview of JRCALC Drug protocols to assist the Paramedic
 
Duration: Two Days
 

Course Entry Requirement:

Delegates must hold a current First Aid at Work certificate and have attended IHCD First Person on Scene Intermediate training or similar. The final entry criteria rests with the Director of Training.
