Emergency Ambulance Technician

Overview:

This course provides increased knowledge and skills in the management of traumatic and medical emergencies. The course takes the first aider to the next level in particular on-site company staff, rescue personnel and those working in the events industry.

Course Outcome:

All delegates will receive on completion of the course a certificate of competency. The trainers, all from NHS Ambulance Service backgrounds will be undertaking on-going competency assessments.

Mechanism of Injury Airway Management Vital Signs Monitoring Triage Oxygen and Entonox Administration Chest, Abdominal Spinal and limb trauma Ambulance skills Long Boards, KEDs and Scoop Stretchers AED & ECG Recognition Shock Management of CVA Asthma, Diabetes and Seizures

Course Entry Requirement:

All delegates must have held a First Aid at Work certificate for a minimum of 12 months.
