| This is a specifically designed course dealing with accidents and medical emergencies involving babies and young children. The course covers topics required to meet OFSTED standards for registered childminders, the requirements for nannies under the DCSF Approved Carers Scheme and staff employed in Early Years Units. |

| Any person having responsibility for young children, specifically nursery staff, au pairs, play group leaders, nannies and child minders. |

Outcome: |
| Following successful completion of the course and final practrical skills assessment, each candidate will be competent in paediatric first aid and will be able to effectively deal with emergency situations involving babies and young children |
