Moving and Handling

Overview:

This course is designed to make the candidates aware of the make up of the spine and the damage that can result from bad handling practices. It is aimed at any person in a working environment not just manual labouring tasks. There are two aspects to the course, one designed for people in general with the second specifically designed for moving people, in a care environment.

Course Outcome:

On completion of the course each candidate will have knowledge in the risk of bad moving and handling practices and will be able to adopt correct procedures when moving and handling.
